EVENT

El Red Bull art of Wake es una competición de wakeboard internacional en la que los riders competirán de forma individual. Para desplazar a los participantes, se utilizará el cableski de una línea, un sistema de telearrastre que permitirá a los participantes ir grindando las rampas y barandillas colocadas en la piscina.
Cada rider hará dos ida-vuelta en cada uno de los dos cableskis colocados que les permitirán sortear distintos tipos de rampas. Entre los participantes, destaca la presencia del canadiense Raph Derome, ganador de la FISE o el alemán Fredy Von Ostern, además de lo mejor del panorama nacional en la escena del wakeboard.

TIPOS DE RAMPAS

PISCINA: Como su mismo nombre indica, este tipo de módulo es similar a una piscina y crea dos niveles de agua, lo que permite al rider enlazar las barandillas. Es uno de los módulos estrella, donde se verán probablemente los mejores trucos de la competición.
ROOF TOP: Módulo con forma de pirámide.
FLAT RAIL: Módulo sencillo, es plano y permite a los riders demostrar sus diferentes estilos.
DOBLE KICKER: Este tipo de rampas se llaman así porque se pueden atacar desde distintos lados. Es decir, cada rider elegirá por donde entrarlas y realizar el truco.
BOMB: Este es el módulo más versátil que existe en wakeboard y da la opción a los riders de entrar por diferentes lados.

LOCALIZACIÓN- CIUDAD DE LAS ARTES Y LAS CIENCIAS DE VALENCIA

El evento se desarrollará en la mítica Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias de Valencia. La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias de Valencia es un conjunto único dedicado a la divulgación científica y cultural, que está integrado por seis grandes elementos: el Hemisfèric, el Umbracle , el Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe (junto al que se celebrará el evento), el Oceanogràfic (el mayor acuario de Europa con más de 500 especies marinas), el Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (dedicado la programación operística) y el Ágora, que dota al complejo de un espacio multifuncional.

A lo largo de un eje de casi dos kilómetros, en el antiguo cauce del río Turia, este complejo impulsado por la Generalitat Valenciana sorprende por su arquitectura - obra de Santiago Calatrava y Félix Candela - y por su inmensa capacidad para divertir y estimular las mentes de sus visitantes que, recorriendo sus edificios, conocen diferentes aspectos relacionados con la ciencia, la tecnología, la naturaleza o el arte.

The Red Bull Art of Wake is an international wakeboarding competition in which riders compete individually.

To move to the participants, we will use a one line Cableski, a pulling system that allow participants to grind the ramps and handrails placed in the pool.

Each rider will make two round-trip rounds on each of the two cableskis that will help them bypass the different types of ramps. Among the participants, we highlight the presence of Raph Derome from Canada (winner of the FISE), Fredy von Ostern from Germany, as well as the best representives of the national scene in wakeboard.

TYPES OF RAMPS:

POOL: As its name implies, this type of module is similar to a pool and creates two levels of water, allowing the rider to bind the rails. It is one of the star modules, which are likely to be the best tricks of the competition.

ROOF TOP: Module with a pyramid shape.

FLAT RAIL: easy module, it is flat and allows riders to show their different styles.

DOUBLE KICKER: This type of ramps are called so because they can be attacked from different sides. That is, each rider will choose where to enter them from and perform the trick.

BOMB: This is the most versatile module in wakeboarding and gives riders the option to enter through different sides.

LOCATION-CITY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES OF VALENCIA

The event will take place in the mythical City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is a unique complex dedicated to the promotion of scientific and cultural studies, which is composed of six major elements: the Hemisfèric, the Umbracle, the Science Museum Principe Felipe (next to be location where the event will be), the Oceanographic Park (the largest aquarium in Europe with over 500 marine species), the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia (dedicated opera programming) and the Agora, which gives the complex a multifunctional space.

Along a line of nearly two miles, in the old Turia riverbed, this complex, promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana, impresses by its architecture - designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela - and an endless capacity to entertain and stimulate the minds of your visitors, visiting its buildings, know different aspects of science, technology, nature and art.
